Review: A Beautiful Game With One Fatal Habit
Capra Editorial · 20 Jul 2026 · 8 min read

There is a version of this game that is a masterpiece, and it is hiding about fifteen hours inside the one that shipped.
The traversal is the star
Movement has weight and consequence, the world is built vertically in a way that rewards curiosity, and the first time you commit to a descent with no idea what is below you, it earns every comparison it has been given.
The handbrake
What undercuts it is the progression loop. Every meaningful zone is gated behind a resource that exists only to make you stop and grind. The game keeps building beautiful momentum and then reaching over to pull the handbrake.
Verdict
It is still worth your time. Play it slowly, ignore the checklist, and let the map do the talking. Just know that the best thing about this game is the part its systems keep apologising for.
